First Game of S.H.O.C.K. Skateboarding Competition Showcases G-SHOCK’s Connection with Street Sports
G-SHOCK has partnered for the first time with Katol, the renowned Hong Kong hand-painted sign artist and graphic designer to launch a new collaborative project themed “Crafted In Time.” The initiative seamlessly merges Katol’s distinctive retro aesthetic with contemporary urban style. His distinctive typographic artistry highlights both the nostalgic charm and creative energy of Hong Kong street culture, reinforcing G-SHOCK’s enduring street spirit and offering the public a cross-generational exploration of urban culture.
G-SHOCK x Katol Limited-Edition Products
The collaboration features two limited-edition skateboards, showcasing the original typography and illustrations created by Katol, integrating street-art elements into the product design while aligning with G-SHOCK’s distinctive urban identity. The “Crafted In Time” skateboard incorporates Katol’s illustrations as its primary visual focus, rendered in teal and blue tones and highlighting the classic 6900 model. The “Absolute Toughness” skateboard draws inspiration from G-SHOCK’s core brand ethos, presented through bold orange-red graphics that convey the strength and dynamism for which the brand is known. In addition, finger skateboard keychains are introduced to offer a subtle yet distinctive street-style accessory for everyday use.

Demonstrating its commitment to fostering local sports and street skateboarding culture, G-SHOCK hosted the first Game of S.H.O.C.K. skateboarding competition this year, further strengthening the brand’s connection with younger communities and urban culture. Held on 8 November at Urban Park, 4/F Hysan Place in Causeway Bay, the event attracted an enthusiastic turnout of skateboarders and spectators. Participants delivered high-skill performances and creative routines that underscored the diversity and vitality of the sport. The strong audience engagement further elevated the atmosphere, reflecting the passion and growing appeal of street sports within the community.
